Behringer pedals

I guess I've been lucky. I've owned a Behringer bass rig that NEVER let me down at the time I owned it...and I bought the head (BX4500) used!
And I've had the BDI21 for a number of years now...still works great...lasted longer than my (broke) Korg Toneworks 411fx, and cost 7% of what I paid for the Korg!
Personally, I think Behringer is filling the void of providing adequate music gear at a very reasonable price for upstart musicians. And I find no fault in that. How quickly do we forget that WE (I know was one of them) were once "upstart" musicians who (didn't know anything about gear) could barely even afford a Boss DS1? I'm very thankful and wished that companies like Behringer and Danelectro were around when I was just starting out on my musical journey.
I do find it interesting that some musicians would critique the quality of Behringer's products. For what one pays for a Behringer, are you expecting the "best bang for your buck"?

+1 on the Behringer BDI21. Sounds surprisingly good for something so cheap! Haven't had mine for too long yet, so I can't comment on its durability. But like someone else said, if it breaks, buy another one. $30 new on ebay.
My experience with Behringer is limited to the BA410 cab I used to have. It was fine and would be fine in a pinch. If I were interested in a more reliable rig then I would look for another brand. If it was just for occasional use then the Behringer could do the job. I could probably make do using the Behringer alternative to certain effects that I wouldn't use frequently and that wouldn't be essential to my sound. For pedals that I base songs around (something like dirt or grind) then I'd shoot to find something that has proven reliability.
I'm quite interested in the BDI21. I keep hearing an abundance of positive things about it (this thread being no exception). I'd consider getting it to try out since it is so cheap and I'm quite broke. Unfortunately, the plastic enclosure strikes worry in my heart. With my luck, I would come down with a heavy foot and smash the whole thing during a performance. I've got painful GAS for the Tech 21 Programmable BDDI (with three channels). I realize that the BDI21 doesn't have those exact features but the Tech21 costs seven times as much. I could buy three of the BDI21s with different settings on each and shut them off as I please.
