Being a recommendation thread

Hello.
as u guys have probably surmised im looking for new strings. i play on a schecter stiletto elite-4 bass, currently strung with ernie ball roundwounds. my question is this: considering my style (i love thumpy and tight, a sound fit to enthrall on a primal level) should i go for flatwounds, halfwounds, (either nickel or steel) or stick with the rounds. feel free to recommend me any brands. thanks in advance,

1 - LaBella 760FM (thicker gauge - a bit higher tension) or
2 - LaBella 760FL (thinner gauge - lower tension)

Give them about a month to break in and then they are set for years.

Really... years.

You can read a thousand threads on "which flat?", but based on your comments I would definitely say flats for sure as opposed to half-rounds or some other form of hybrid.

I think it will be "love at first thump" when you hit a low F note.
