Belated RIP: Harry Fleishman

I was doing some background research for a post to another thread when I was stunned and saddened to learn that luthier Harry Fleishman passed in 2024. Harry was very adventuresome in his designs and an active participant in the GAL, and was always gracious and humorous in his writings. He and I enjoyed a brief conversation decades ago on the old TBL.

I have one of Harry's instruments, easily the prize of my collection: a Compact Bass (not acoustic bass guitar, he says) from 1979.

Sad. I have one of his early creations also, but unfortunately the neck has gone and it needs a complete reset, beyond my abilities...
