has anyone replaced the speaker in their Bergantino HT115 ?!?

suggestions ?

must be 8 ohm , and at least 200 watts ...

It would be crazy to use any other speaker than his in that cabinet, as they are made to his specs.
As I understand from this board, his prices are fair; you will have to return the original speaker I believe.

I'm assuming it was injured by something other than the MM head?

I would agree about sticking with the Berg speaker, but I think that Eminence makes the speakers for him. In the case of my HT322, they're most assuredly custom.

Yep, as far as i know Jim uses special designed Eminence speakers as do most of the "boutique" speaker manufactures.
And cannot be directly purchased from Eminence.

ok , an update as promised ...

i spoke with Jim this morning , and he said that he no longer stocks
the 15" replacement speaker , but he does offer a re-cone kit ,
availability depending on whether the serial number ends in an "A" or "B" ....


i'll check on the serial number tonight ...
