Bergantino AE212; Part 2!!

I do plan on calling Jim, thanks for the number rodneyrat!, very soon. I want to give him the opportunity to reply to my email inquiry before I do though. In the meantime I want to hear from anyone who has been in my situation and had to replace a speaker.

Thanks

Has anyone had to replace a speaker in their AE212? I need a replacement and since the cab is discontinued what are my options? Should I be contemplating getting 2 new speakers? Would it be possible/sound good to get 2 of the 12's from the CN line as a replacement?

I've sent out a message on the Bergantino site but I haven't heard anything yet. I'm sure someone will be contacting me soon.

If anyone has had to replace a speaker in their AE212 I'd love to hear what your solution was.
I blew a speaker in a AE212 after hundreds and hundreds of gigs, Jim was amazingly fast at taking care of it. Another one of the reasons I never hesitate to buy Bergantino gear besides how great they sound, the best customer service I've ever had from equipment manufactures.

I ended up not having to call Jim. Me email was replied to first thing Monday morning. He actually had 1 more 12 inch for the AE series left in stock!!! I was able to purchase at a competitive price, compared to Faital and Emminence of similar spec, and received the speaker Wednesday!

I always liked my AE212 but with the new speaker it sounds phenomenal!!!

Hi all,

How much do your AE212's weigh? I've just put mine on the scales and its come up as 27kg/59.9lbs - this is heavier than the 55lbs in the specs...

My TC RS212 cab only weighs 23kg, and I'm surprised because I believe it has heavier ceramic drivers whereas the Berg has lighter neodymium drivers?
