For the record my sig other is also my Vocalist, and she is da bomb. Really
. PLUS- She's an enabler, and ACTUALLY encourages me to purchase gear. especially basses.
I "shop" virtually and get quotes on builds, etc. Whenever she sees stuff on my PC for instance, she actually says "I think you should buy that!"

Great idea for those (like me) who won't touch the programmable stuff with a 10 foot pole but would otherwise like to try a B.

The only thing I noticed "missing" in my quick glance is a deep switch. I rarely use that on my amps that have it, but it seems to be a popular feature for some. I typically view contour/voicing controls as a redundant waste of panel space, so would not miss that. On the other hand it has "extras" vs some other popular choices including 2 ohm capability, headphone and aux inputs and onboard compression.

Looks to be an excellent product and is reasonably priced as well.

Hey, if I could also add to performance and value...customer support. Jim, you consistently deliver all THREE areas in spades!

The Forte sure looks to be another great offering, that certainly doesn't dimenish the B|Amp. I'm currently using many of the additional features included on my B|Amp, so the extra "coin" is worth it to me.

But many should find the Forte a perfect features fit, at a reasonable price point...and get to enjoy the same Berg "amp clarity" that B|Amp owners are always talking about...

I was very, very close to laying down the cash for a new B/Amp. But then reality set in, and I remembered that I'd honestly probably never use (or even try to use) 75% of what that amp is capable of.

This new Forte amp is just my speed. Give me a straight-ahead 3 or 4 band eq, gain, master volume, and I'm golden. I can definitely see one of these in my future.

In my case, I'd probably use most of what it can do, but I want to be able to look at the front panel and see, simultaneously, what all settings are. If the amp has complex capabilities, I want to see them all and how they are adjusted at a glance.....like the GB Shuttle Max series or my old Mesa M9. They may be complicated to look at, LOL, but the learning curve for how to access the controls is nil, and the amp "reads like an open book".....just my preference of course....many prefer to have a simpler, cleaner look.
