Bergantino NV610 In The House....

I was needing a cabinet with more drivers than I was using and that would stay solid, focused, and clear at high stage volume (the drummer I work with is NOT a timid player!)

Bought a used Bergantino NV610 cabinet yesterday (Thank-you J.T.)

Driving it with my Mesa M-6 Carbine with a Fender passive 4 string Jazz and a Fender active 4 string Jazz.

Absolutely loving it here in the family room.
Solid, punchy, fast, with notes being even in volume across the fretboard.
Only negative for my ears thus far, it's a very directional cabinet.
Had to angle it up quite-a-bit with a foam wedge to catch the mids and highs while standing.

I've a FOH supported, outdoor, large stage job tomorrow evening playing to a football field sized area.
That gig should tell me quickly if this is the cabinet for me and "IF" it'll stay clear and focused at high stage volume.

I hope I'm not asking to much from six 10" drivers.

Over the years, (40+), I've played a BUNCH of 810 cabinets, a handful of 610 cabinets, and LOTS of 410 cabinets.
For the past 9+ years I've been gigging "two" 210 cabinets (after auditioning atleast 9 or 10 other manufacturers 210 cabinets before going with the pair I have.)
I stack the two 210 cabinets as a vertical 410.

After owning the NV610 for roughfully two weeks and having used it on several outdoor shows and one smaller indoor job, "to my ears", the Bergantino NV610 is "THE BEST" 10" driver loaded cabinet I've encountered bar none.

My only complaint, I miss the drivers up near my ears that I had with my vertical 410 set-up.

So.....

Mr. Bergantino, how's about a Bergantino 810?

Yep, the Berg 610 is pretty special. I used to own an NV610 and an NV215 and played one gig with the two together - what a combination! After one set I went back to one cab, even at low volumes that speaker combination just owned the stage. Still have the NV215, something very very special about that cab. I have moved on to Barefaced Tens now which seem to be the next generation to me, incredibly light with the grunt of speakers twice the size. But you are right, the midrange punch of the Berg 610 is like a cannon in the room.
