Best 212 cab?

TC Electronic R212. Mainly because I have them.

i love my tce rs212 but i just found out they have been discontinued.

Any of the usual high-end suspects mentioned so far would fit the bill. I owned a Schroeder 21012 for quite a while that projected like a knife through the mix and could take heaps of power. It basically took the footprint of a 2x12 bc the 12" speaker was angled and fired sideways.

Just another vote for fEARful or Fearless greenboy designs. Light, loud, and not too big.

I have had zero cabinet gas since I got a 12/12/6/1 three years ago. Even my 15/6/1 and 12/6/1 just do rehearsal and practice space duty. Having tilt back wheels makes moving it a breeze. The sound is anything (and everything) I want.

Seriously, I use it with upright in two rockabilly bands, Jazz (eyes often roll because it is about twice the size of a large combo, but the sound silences any jokes), an old school (R&B) quartet-style Gospel group (5-string), blues (mostly 4-string electric), and of course, Reggae Hawaiian-style (4 and 5-string).

The tone color distance between upright slap and Reggae is about a wide as one can find. The fEARful does anything it's asked to do with aplomb—and at any level of volume needed. It's subtle timbral side is sublime and sweet, but it will crush anything like a bug, if need be.

I have a Bergantino CN212 and they've been out long enough that used ones are in the 400-500 range.
It's light, has a very useful variable tweeter control and sounds great.

If I was in the market for a commercially built cab (building my own cabs for many years) I think I would go for a GR 212 slim Aerotech series. They are carbon fiber cab. The 212 is only 26 lbs.

I don't think the Aerotech cabs are available yet, but the regular cabs are phenomenal. My next rig will be a GR One 350 plus a 2x12 cab.

The Genzler Magellan 212T is pretty much perfect for me. Punchy, deep, loud, pretty and a rather easy schlep.

The Audiokinesis Hathor 212 is truly amazing, but the design is currently "under revision." Hopefully Duke's next version will be as dreamy.

Barefaced Big Twin II is absolutely killer.

Quite literally. That is a good choice of cabinet when you might want to hurt people, but not your back.
Barefaced 112 cabs usually compare to big brand 212 cabs.

I played through the Aerotech 2x12, and couldn't tell the difference. Very tempting.

I'm using the Berg NXT212 and I love it. Best cab I've ever played through, and it's super light. I don't think you can go wrong with it.
