Best 5 String For Under $1500?

With that budget I would go with a USA made bass (or German for Warwick). No use in going Chinese/Korean if you don't have to.

A used Pedulla Rapture bass in good condition.

Give any thought to going used? You can get a Rob Allen MB-2 used for what a Lakland 5502 goes for. I went that route, and don't regret it one bit.
