Owner - Kebo's Bass Works
Guys - heres the best tip ever and I discovered this by shear accident.. The truss rod wrench... Forget about it.. Go to Staples, the office supply store. They sell a total POS 99 cent screw driver with interchangable heads. The unit itself without the heads is a PERFECT thin walled wrench for Ricky rods. It works on severely bent down 70s rods. It fits PERFECT. Best thing is, its such a piece of junk, the handle has a rubber grip. The grip spins if your too tight. Its like a perfect torque wrench. They had one for 99 or 1.29 Thats the one you want. The one that was 3.29 is a little more heavy duty, its the wrong one..

Let me know how you all make out!

Ha,

Similar thing happened to me, last time I tweaked my RIC's rods... looked around the shop for an appropriate tool & a hunk of crap, dollar store T-wrench set (just the T-tool handle/holder) was a perfect fit...

Thanks for the tip. My 76 has "severely bent down truss rods" and is hard to adjust. I was wondering if that was normal for the truss rods to be at that angle. It was a one owner bass that had been in storage since 1979 and was never abused. I never tried to adjust the neck until I took it on an airplane a month ago.
