Best Amp Rig for Bass and Upright

Hi everyone! I am looking to get a new rig that I can use both for my upright bass and bass guitar. I'll mostly play it with the bass guitar but definitely want it usable and purty sounding with my upright. I mostly play punch brothers-style on the upright (meaning about 70% pizz and 30% arco). I need serious volume as I want to use this in church's without going through their sound system. I've always liked tubes but am open to almost anything and am not married to any brand. Budget is about $3 to $4K. I favor a warmer sound but also like to dial in a bit of bite and clarity on the bass. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I double and use a variety of different Ampeg stuff plus an AB switch and separate EQ for the upright, currently an MXR 6-Band. I usually don't use tweeters, but they have cabs with a tweeter if you want that real high freq response. The SVT-VR is two channels, which would make switching a little easier provided you have a way of muting the upright when not being used, but if you don't want to lug around an 80 lb tube amp, the new reissue V4B is 41 lbs and a very loud 100w if needed.

Mesa Scout works well for me.... but I usually use a QSC powered wedge for upright with a decent preamp.
You don't need a heap of power for the upright. Your volume will be limited by your ability to reject feedback.

Serious power and upright bass means Fearless or Thunderchild for me. My Fearless is a good cab for strap-on bass, not the be all and end all that some will tell you it is. However, it is a FANTASTIC cab for loud upright. Game changer. If you don't need rock-band volume, EA stuff is good.

I use a fEARful 15/6/1, driven by an GK MB800 for electric and upright. The upright (with a Revolution II piezo) runs through a Tech21 ParaDriver DI. I don't do many gigs where I double—it's usually one or the other. If it is just electric and I am bringing the 15sub or a second 15/6/1, I use a Mesa M9.

The nice thing about the fEARful cabinet for upright is that you are not fighting the baked in electric bass tone one finds in most cabs. BTW, there is no best for this application.
