What do you think is the best bass Amp Brand in Overall reliability, tone, value and power?

SVT3Pro
Older Trace Elliot

Never fell in love with SWR, GK, Acoustic, or Peavey amps that I've owned in the past
Also have not tried separate pre and power amps

Ampeg SVT-II, hands down the best amp I have ever had the pleasure to play.

What is the best amp overall? There is none, it's all personal preference.

This could get heated. To just shake the walls an old Ampeg (still have a '73 V4-B), to cut through and drive a crowd GK. IMO

I had an Ampeg SVT III Pro. I bought it new and it kept breaking down! I sold it and bought a GK1001RB 2x10 combo and.......it kept breaking dow. Still have it in my lock-up if anyone is interested in it.

Anyway... the Markbass LMII came out on top for me; overall bang for buck...followed by the Mesa Carbine M6, the GK 800Rb & Carvin B1500. There are plenty of other great amps, such as the Epifani UL, etc...but the above represent overall bang for buck.

p.s. it might help martyman if you offer specifics as to what criteria your looking at.

Choice #1: Genz Benz 1200 covers everything, from outdoor gigs, big halls, etc.
Choice #2: mESA bOOGIE 400 OR 400+ (ALL TUBES BABY)
