Best bass amp brand?

For what I do.. I can't get away for the new Fender Rumble's. I use the 100watt 210 and the thing just rocks... now keep in mind it's mainly for stage volume and my bass is being DI'ed through the PA.
I don't think he's trolling, sounds like an honest question from someone who in all likelihood doesn't know much about bass amps (but I may be wrong!).
My personal criteria is power-to-weight-to-price. My Yorkville XM100 combo is plenty loud enough for my needs, I don't have to be Hulk Hogan to lug it around, and I got it for a little over $200.00 A winner in my books! It's the best amp for me.

Hey, logicman69, I bought my Yorkville amp from your store last summer! I still have it, it works great, I put it on an amp stand when I play out, and like you I DI it through the PA. From one TBer to another, thanks. It's a small world!
I have owned Fender, Laney, Kustom, Boss and Peavey amps for my guitars. Never a Marshall. Might get a Mesa Boogie. Tried an Eggnator yesterday, that was HOT.
My go-to bass amp is my Yamaha BBT-500H 2Ohm amp. It has been a workhorse! The Carvin BX500 isn't too shabby, either.
Boy thats a tough question... for a punk party gig thing i would bring a peavy for durability.... For straight Jazz i like SWR, for Blues i like SVT tube sound, for funk hartke, for smaller gigs i have a Carvin 600 cyclops that i paid $150 for....i have some mesa stuff that i like. I keep going back to the ampeg tone, but the hartke is sweet to, well so is the swr....ect....Its all a matter of opinion.
I'd have to say that Ampeg is the iconic brand name in bass amp gear, as Marshall is to a lot of guitar players, over the course of most of Amepg's history. It's in a state of slow recovery again, as a brand, but that's a different subject entirely. As to say there is a best amp brand is rather silly. There are many fine makers of guitar amps as there is bass amps. The first Marshall guitar amp was pretty much a rip off of the late 50's Fender Bassman circuit by the way, as far as design goes.
For smaller coffee shop type gigs, I usually limit it to an SVT head with a pair of 8x10 cabs on the left side of the stage, and that same setup on the right side.
Yes but they turn to stone when the sun hits them! Then they are totally solid state!

In my humble opinion, your question is meaningless, but in the "Marshall of bass amps" spirit, here is my light-hearted answer:
For many, Ampeg is the LAW, so you could say it's kinda the Marshall. So if that is the case then I guess Acoustic is the Vox, Fender is--well--the Fender. Is it too flippant to say that Crest is the tooth paste and Epifani is the light? If not, then Bergantino is the mountain goat herder, Schroeder is the pianist, Mesa Boogie is the hat dance, and Kustom is the diner furniture. Ok, I said it.
If you want opinions about "What amps are good?," my question for you is "Good for what?" Give us a tiny bit of info about what you want to do with an amp, assuming you are a bassist.
That's like saying Ringo Starr is the best drummer. Most famous, maybe. But there are a heck of a lot of less famous drummers, even unknowns, that leave Ringo blowing in the weeds. Ampeg is used by a lot of people, but Aguilar, Glockenklang, Tec and Eden make better amps, by far. Probably a bunch of others, too.
