Best bass amp setup for under $800

Any suggestions on a nice amp setup (cabinet AND head, or combo) for $800 CDN and under?

I think we're all going to say our own stuff is the best as long as it's under that cost. So, I'll start - a used LMII and a used Avatar 4x10 could come in under that cost.

I'll tell you my current favorite...Ampeg B100R. They also make a B200R which is twice the wattage and not much more, but I haven't tried it.

I am digging my Hartke 3500 and 4x10 Hartke cab. The new heads allow you to blend tube and solid state. This will be under 800.

Well lets see, I think my SVT-410HLF is still worth between $475 and $500. My cheapest Peavey CS-800S was $375 and I paid $100 for that Behringer Bass V-amp Pro. That's a couple bucks more sure but it is a serious BOOMER. I'm sure if you shopped you could duplicate that thing for even less.

Taint no combo not with a 1200W@4Ohm rated amp. Oh and when I play the head into an 810 it is SHARP and crystal clear. WHOMP

have a look at some used peavey stuff

Keep an eye out for used stuff, but ya have to be a bit patient.

I picked up a used Tech21 Landmark 300 for $300 Cdn and a Bag End S-15D for $250 Cdn.

I'd go for an Ampeg B100R if I wanted a combo.
