best bass head survey??

Another vote for the TC RH 450!

Definitely nowhere near "the loudest" IME. Not even close.

The RH450 is a cool amp but I am finding myself turning the master vol to at least 8/10 when paired with a single TC 2x10 at rehearsal. VERY loud drummer and guitarist and in a basement, but this is not the loudest "450W" non-tube head out there or even close.

In any case, the RH750 would give you a cool blend of cool looking, loud, feature rich and won't break your back.

The Ampeg SVT is very loud as are the Big Block Mesas. Both weigh lots!

A GK 1001RB-II is loud and doesn't weigh a ton.

Lots to chose from....

Depends on which amp I'm owning right now :D

So far I really like the Ampeg B15 and Ashdown Little Bastard for tone and visual designs. And so I can claim that you don't need a bazillion watts to be heard :ninja:

For all around goodies, Genz Benz ShuttleMAX 12.0 for hybrid/SS amp and Peavey VB3 for all-tube amp.
