That was the most un-informative site I've ever seen. So stupid.
However, I have nada problems with corrision or oxidation because I am a tee-totaler when it comes to use Stainless Steel only. I have nickel allergy. And on top of this, I think cleaning methods used for other items too, like ultrasonic and isopropyl alcohol is just a fringe benefit. Bassbrites and similar (I think Rotosound has some gear too) are just suitable just for bass strings, and pretty much nothing else. On top of this their - bassbrites -site says in the FAQ:
"The formula has a slightly oily feel to it, and leaves a micro thin coating on the strings that may be felt as a slight lubrication on the strings. This thin layer is enough to remove corrosion and prevent the string from further corrosion."
Thanks but no thanks! That coating is what my fingers skin residue makes automatically! And regarding gunk inside the windings. Yes, the Ultrasonic takes cares of this, always.
