Of course you are. When you disagreed with someone's assertion that stingrays are the best, you demonstrated that the question has no objective answer that is not opinion based.Am I wrong?
Can you explain a little more why you're saying they are terrible basses...not that you're opinion really matters but just curious why you would say this...

"What's the best______?" has no objective answer. What's the best shoe? What's the best brand of coffee? What's the best bass? It's a matter of opinion.Huh, again? You asked me about colour.
Wrt the Stingray, making a statement or disagreeing with someone doesn't mean I am not being objective.
Given a statement is how we start a conversation, you are inferring there are not objective statements in the world.
Opinions are subjective. Definitions of words are objective.Wrt the Stingray, making a statement or disagreeing with someone doesn't mean I am not being objective.
What precisely makes you say this? They are terrible basses.
Really - the most underwhelming things I have played.
Hi
I am curious: what is considered to be the best bass?
.....and I am not referring to personal preference for personal circumstance; more, what is objectively considered the best bass (regardless of budget).
Fodera? Sadowsky?
Cheers

Lake placid blue /threadThe question has no answer. What's the best color?
This. The one that speaks to you when you play it.
It's like a relationship... it's the chemistry between you and your instrument of choice. There have been some great high end instruments that just didn't fit my hand... so... best... is definitely subjective...
More importantly, does the best bass have a input jack?
Sheesh.
