Best brand amps for reliability / dependability?

I've had a few Ampegs over the years and all have been pretty solid until i got my last SVT3PRO.Very unreliable and i just can't trust it any more so am looking to switch,probably to a Genz Benz Shuttlemax.

Worst amp i've ever owned was a Mesa 400+. What a piece of junk!!!!

The only problem I've ever had with my 80's Mesa Boogie 400w + was the speaker tensile wire going/falling off causing a blow back to the amp, then the fuse blowing. If I were playing out a solid state head, this wouldn't of happened because a tensile wire failing and disconnecting from the speaker wouldn't of had this kind of effect on the amp. I've owned the amp for 15+ yrs, and it's the only problem I've ever had with it.

Thats good to know. The new M9 will be on a very short leash when I get it.:p:D The tone is to die for IMO, but I won't stick with an amp that is anything other than reliable.

I haven't gigged the Fusion 550 yet, but it was impressive in rehearsal and jams..... and $400 cheaper than the M9!

Without reading the thread, from my personal experience, in no particular order, Peavey, GK, Fender tube amps, QSC poweramps. All older models that I've used a lot. Anything made in the last 10 years isn't old enough to know if it's reliable or not.....that includes every one of these pocket-size SMPS things that are all the rage now.
