Packing up gear onstage after opening for These Arms Are Snakes, my drummer taps me on the shoulder and points to Brian Cook standing there. Mr. Cook complimented my playing and my distortion tone. It was awesome.
One time, the guitar player from this band Failure's Union came up to me after my band had just played. He didn't look me in the eyes, because his were affixed on my pedalboard. He said that, during the noisy, freak-out intro to one of our songs, I sounded "almost like a brass instrument, but really cool".
