I need to ramp up my drum knowledge as fast as I can because I've been elected "drummer" on the weeks I don't play bass at church. Another bass player and I take turns. I made the mistake of telling the guys in the band that my Dad is a drummer and taught me some basic snare drumming when I was a kid. The guitar player had a drum set he could push off on me, so I'm it. =)
Anyway can anyone recommend a good book / CD combo that will give me basic knowledge with minimum pain? I don't want to take lessons because I'm taking bass lessons now and I don't want to cut into my bass budget.
