dubby funky groover with James Hardway Quartet(Keith LeBlanc on drums), Cordovan, Nyee Moses(with Reggie Hamilton too), Jesse DeNatale, Dub Tribute to Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley Roots Rock remixed and others I found after a review in Bass Guitar magazine. too below the radar imho....

Thank you so much, Mike and Chris. What a surprise! :) But of course I'm so far from being in the same league as terrific players like Mr. Mike Flynn, Jauqo III-X, Stewart McKinsey (haven't heard from him in a long time), Joe Quader (Bassist4life, the originator of the "Slap Bass Welcome Center" thread), Jean Baudin, Bassmonkee, James Hart, Erlend Caspersen and Jenich CZ. Needless to say, there are lots of other fellow TBers that I haven't got to hear (or don't recall right now - my apologies to them) from whom I have LOTS of things to learn.

having hadrien and janek up here make you realize you gotta keep practicing to stay on your game. marcus willett is on a cd a dig quite a bit. cant go wrong with willbyman. he had a track he put up ages ago called lojack iirc. real good! ive also dug jzucker's playing too. (his guitar playing that is :eek:)

Out of all the bassists I've heard on here, I still gotta go with:

Vic: Its not his chops that impress me(but trust me he has them) but his ability to listen and let the song evolve and groove. I love listening to him play.

I'm gonna namecheck a few of my Atlanta cohorts here, because everyone knows the famous people on TB.
Woodchuck, right back atcha! Your resume speaks for itself.
Bassmonkeee: Those who have been to the Atlanta GTGs know the deal, but Jason kills on fretted and fretless. Having hung around him quite a bit, I get the feeling he can play pretty much anything.
John Turner: great chops, and the vision to see something truly different and go for it.
J-raj: Funky as hell. A real modern sound with old-school feel, and versatility.. a great combination.
I know I'm leaving a bunch of people out. This town is filled with great players. Speaking of which, we need to have another Atlanta GTG soon..
