I want to use a P2P program to download some songs/cd's of soem bands to see if I like them and then buy their CD after. What's the best p2p program to use for whole CD's? What p2p program do you use?

Check out the bands website, you can usually listen to clips of every song on the album. You can also try out a website like Amazon.com to listen to sound clips.

I used to use K-Lite.. It's not working since my recent spyware aquisition though. It's spyware free and pretty fast with a fair few files on there..
  6. Hmmm
K Lite is not spyware free even if it's said in the ad!!
    Trust me....

I don't own any P2P anymore for some reasons....

Well free enough to never give me any hassle at all :p

I also used a fairly old version (2.4.1) which I seemed to prefer over the newer ones.

I like Soulseek. Has the Napster-like interface (which is much better than K-Lite+++), tons of bootlegs, a good amount of old and rare stuff, and no spyware.

Does Ares let you download videos and software files? Or only audio?

i've used limewire for about 2 years now.

    no complaints at all.
  15. My brother uses BearShare _Lite_, and it's fast and easy to use, and no spyware.

After trying them all for years,THIS is the mother of them with the most comprehensible material quantity available.
Of course, there's also the DC++ ,but not as easy to use as eMule.

  19. Best client:

    KC Easy

It has Gnutella, Ares, FastTrack (Grokster/Kazaa...with some tweaking), and OpenFT all in one. :bassist:

    No spyware....open source.
