Best Fuzz for Active bass

It has something to do with the preamp altering the impedance of the signal and some fuzz circuits not working well it. I am not aware what it is exactly but I have some first hand experience with a MM Sterling and a Woolly Mammoth. They didn't work together. It sounded thin and out of breath no matter how I tweaked the knobs.

Only kind of fuzz for bassists.

Yep... using only actives the best I have worked with, aftershock, mbd1 (more distortion but can get pretty wild if you want it to) and the 3Leaf doom... pretty sure there was a list not to long ago? If you have a peda in mind it’s likely someone has tried it with an active bass. I could never use Devi ever fuzzes for that reason, sounded good on the demos with Passives but sounded too bloomy in that the attack was never there and then it would fade in and out on the decay... I think most the way huge or mxr are meant to play well with actives?
