Best gear I purchased in 2022

Vox head phone amp. All I really need to practice at home. It has a built-in drum machine with a few patterns, an aux input so you can play along with input from whatever and, enough power to drive most headphones. And, CHEAP like $50. I'm sure this has been posted before but, I just had to bring it up again.

Due to a medical issue, I had to go as small and as light as I could, so
I bought two Trace Elliot 1X10 cabs. Sound great and crazy loud. Paired with my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.2.

Audere preamp for my Aerodyne. A versatile bass became a tone monster, and my amp really sings with a hotter input, plus it's easier to hot swap with my other gigging basses, which are active. Win win win, WAY cheaper than a new bass (which likely would not have been such a great playing bass), and I got to expand my skill set a bit with the woodwork to enlarge the electronics cavity.

Replaced the trash, low-output passive pickups in my German Warwick Streamer Std. with EMG Js and now I'm in love with the sound and the output is what it should be! Still need to get a custom pickguard cut for it to cover the too-big pickup cavities.
Also my Morris F5 mandolin.

My bass cup runneth over, so 2022 highlights were an 88 key midi kb for writing and a Zildjian A cymbal pack with a 21" sweet ride.

Technically I started learning bass in late 2021. So everything is new to me. My favorite purchase of 2022 was my Sire U5. Really pretty, very comfortable. If only I could play as good as it looks.

And sorry to blaspheme but this is the coolest. Fender Spark-O-Matic semi hollow Jazzmaster with 3 mini humbuckers. Baller.

My nicest gear of 2022 wasn't bass-related. It's an acoustic guitar I've been wanting for almost 20 years… a Goodall 000. This beauty was handmade in Hawaii and has amazing piano-like tones. It's literally THE nicest acoustic I've ever played.

I entered the electric bass world in 2022. ( I am a keyboards/guitarist that only does studio recording and have been for awhile). My Fender Player Jazz is off the charts. It took me awhile to find her. My best musical purchase for years. Because of that particular bass, I am working on being a bass player not just a composer/songwriter that also plays a bass. Thank you, Leo Fender! Thank you, whoever in Mexico built my bass! Thanks, Fender and Sweetwater.

My Ampeg RB110 is great but is shy on power. Ampeg needs to make an RB110 "pro". I still debate getting an RB210. A Jazz and an Ampeg is a beautiful thing!
