Best gig bag around?

My igig bag is the best I've used, but I don't mind the weight and need the storage for cables, tuners, pedals a laptop and my Genz Benz shuttle.....Yeah, see what I did there? It really does fit all that stuff while providing amazing support for your bass!...also has super comfortable straps for wearing it on your back and freeing up your arms for a one trip load in/load out. Love it!

As stated above though, if you don;t ned the storage at all, the mono bag is great and Hello music has a deal on it right now for 150 new! Go snag one!

Hello Music HAD a sale....but its long gone (for the M80). Vertigos are still available. If anyone is looking for a brand new Mono M80 at a good price, check Best Bass Gear's eb@y listings - they have two Steel Gray bags left for $175 shipped (and these are actually under full warranty, unlike Hello Music)

I have a ProTec Contega and an Acces Stage 5 (both are teardrop styles). I think both are great. The ProTec was $110 from Amazon, is really comfortable to wear, but I've never liked split handles. The Access was $169 from Access. I haven't tried wearing it, but another thread said the Sadowsky Portabag (same thing) wasn't comfortable to wear.

I prefer the soft, fuzzy lining of the Access and I like the single handle much better. The Access also adds a top handle which is handy; both have handles on the bottom, and both have velcro "tie-downs" on the neck pillows. The Access seems a little more rigid on the top and bottom, but I think both are very protective.

My Fenders' G&G HSC's are better protection, I guess, but they became too heavy and clumsy for my use (house-car-gig, etc.), so I'm really happy with both bags. I don't use subways, buses, etc., so I can't speak to that.

I finally ordered a M80 Vertigo from a local dealer... OK price, and only 5.75 lbs! Should be here soon... Was not my favorite look-wise (Harvest leather was #1), but it's light and seems protective...
