Best headphones for Ampeg SCR-DI?

Hi there!

It seems that headphones distort easily; they did not with my Bowers and Wilkins headphones but I am worried that they might get damaged. Kind of like if you play
a bass guitar through a guitar amp ( so the saying goes).
So what would be some good headphones that do not distort?

Grateful for any reply.

My favorite headphones for practicing bass and casual music listening are my Koss UR20 and I sometimes use them for recording when my ears are tired from my usual reference headphones. They are not expensive and hold up well over the long run, I have a pair going on 15 years now only needed to replace the ear pads. I also like to use a pair of the PortaPro when watching TV and noodling

Best is a much debated topic that honestly comes down to many factors from brand preference to music style, source material, and which word of mouth you choose to follow. It also depends on what you are listening for as a bass player has more specific ideas than a drummer, guitarist, vocalist or sound engineer. It also comes down to how much you have learned to hear. I will admit to a fondness for Koss headphones since my Pop bought me a pair in 1970.
