yep. where is it? most of the others are Fender-imitants or designed by Leo Fender, so that leads me to believe that this thread was created by a Fender-praiser who doesnt have much respect for other brands... i dont mean i hate fender, but i would most certainly have mentioned others, too

far and away some of the most unique instruments out there. I rarely hear about these things but man are they beautiful. I especially like the headstock, though I'm sure not everyone would agree. There used to be a nice closeup on his website, but it's recently been redone and the gallery isn't up yet. some pix out there do give you the idea though.

I really like the new washburn prototypes. I haven't seen them around anywhere, Art Mauney has been playing one for a while though. I dont know a model number, but it looks really spiffy.

I personally think that Kubicki has the best headstock design - it gives your e string 2 extra frets for a low d at 36" scale - i can't think of anyone else that does that...

Yup. www.hillinstruments.com He hasn't updated his site in a little while though; he recently moved his shop to a much larger space and is working on several new basses right now, including one with solid camphor burl body wings. I'll try to get some pics from him soon if you'd like.

My vote would have easily gone to the LeFay's with headstocks but it wasn't an option so I went fender
