Old and beat up but it will be brought back to life soon.

1970 Gibson EB-0 slotted headstock with banjo style reverse tuning keys. Gibson only manufactured slotted headstocks for two years, 70-71. I always loved the look.

Looks like a reasonable attempt at a save of a broken Fender headstock with the G just slightly out of line. But,, do I detect a "....MAHA" above the G tuner?

Well, I might be a bit biased, but the headstock I designed for my bass is of course the best design...

Hint, it started out as a Warmoth Fender headstock and was reshaped to this thing of beauty. Kinda similar to a Sadowsky, but better.

Holy moly that's a pretty color combo.

I've always been a fan of the bombastic look of the fender headstock. It's based off the look of an upright bass by the way:

I think Leo was inspired by the "Stauffer" style headstocks of the 1850's

Yeah, that was the problem with the slotted design. Easily broken if knocked over. In the early 80s my three year old son was running through the house and knocked the EB-0 off the stand. It made a nice split in the headstock that needed to be repaired.
