Groove Tools series by Conklin are also made in Korea. I once had a GT5, and the craftsmanship is excellent for an under $1,000 bass.

my Hohner ......
Made in Korea.. plays like a dream, sounds even better... I paid $200 for it. Just bought it yesterday, I couldn't pass up the sweet deal... Black chrome bridge, black chrome hipshot tuners.. extra gain circuit placed inside for a bit more growl..
Check out Willows Guitars. www.willowsguitar.com
Swing Guitars are great too, so I hear.
PS: When you come over here to Korea, you might wanna visit the Nakwon Mall. Tons of shops there you can take a look around.
I was slightly disappointed by the Mr. Potato outside of Osan AB. He had like 5 basses in there and only a couple I even recognized the names of. A couple Brice's. Straight out the gate in the walking mall, past the Mc Donalds is a Yamaha shop. They have decent selection of basses there. It's where I got my Fender Jazz. Although at least for the Fenders there. They are probably fake. Nice quality that seems like a CIJ, but alas is still probably a fake.At least most of the instruments there are pretty damn cheap and their accessory selection isn't too bad either.
Rock ON!

A Schecter Stilleto Studio sounds good.![]()
often. All the name brand instruments you find over here are made by one of a handful of companies over there, and to really maximize the ability to get a good deal, the trick would be to (a) figure out which Korean company builds instruments for your favorite brand, then (b) find out which "local" brands are made in that factory, and get one of those.
Well, I doubt they would be made in North Korea. That would be some superb quality stuff!I believe that Conklin's Groove Tools series are manufactured in S. Korea.
