Best lightweight combo with biggest punch

OK folks, I went to the local Guitar Center tonight to try out some small combos. Thank you all for the recommendations by the way!

MarkBass 1x12 - Sounded muddy. Loud, but very muddy.

Acoustic 1x12 - Sounded weak and thin. No punch.

TC Electronic BG250-112- Sounds virtually identical to my BG250-115 (which is good), but the damn things weighs almost as much too!

Fender Rumble 100 - Didn't sound quite as good as the TC, BUT it weighed probably a good ten pounds less than the TC. So, as of this moment, the Rumble 100 is the front runner. However, I'd really like to try one of those GK112's, but I have no idea where to go locally to try one out.

CG didn't have an Ampeg 112 to try, but I'd like to give that one a go too.

I have the Rumble 100 and really want to try the GK.

I think GK has the best line of Combos...a LOT of options, plenty of power, sound great and easy load in. Ive lugged my MB 212-ii around for several years now to hundreds of gigs and rehearsals...zero issues.

Thanks! I definitely have that on the list. It's tough when you can't test this stuff - My guitar center just doesn't seem to have a great in-store selection.

If I’m looking for lightweight, punchy combos, I would start with Phil Jones (or GRBass if budget allows).

The Fender Rumble series is currently one of the best bang for the buck combos out there. There are more powerful / louder units (but more $$) and there are some with perhaps a more refined tone (also more $$), but for light weight, useable tone, & apparently good reliability, the Fender Rumble series is hard to beat.

If your budget didn't have a ceiling, there are many other possibilities.....

On 2 June 2003, Jamison sold SWR to Fender Musical Instruments Corporation for a rumored $8 million. I'd say that has something to do w/ the great rumble series tone.
