Best looking bass on Talkbass?

That would be mine :)

I kind of like the blue strings on it, and Jens sent an extra set with it, so I'll use them first - but I plan to switch to regular strings when they're dead, as I think that will also look great (and they're cheaper :p)

What? A bass that (obviously) costs a small fortune and you're looking for cheap strings?:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Not cheap strings, cheapER strings - DR Peacock Blue are very expensive. You think I have money left from buying a bass like that...? Sure, I bought another Ritter and a Fodera the same year I bought this one, but they won't be paid off for another 3 years if my Fenders don't sell :p

It's called priorities, not wealth :atoz:

Not sure if this is owned by a Talkbass member, but I love this bass that Carey Nordstrand built:

+1 - I was in hot pursuit of that one awhile back, and just missed nabbing it from the guys at basstasters.com. They had sold it just two days before I asked about it to someone I believe lived in Mexico.

My favorite right now is the one I just picked up. This bass was so beautiful to me, it sat as the wallpaper on all three of my computers for at least a month until I had the nads to propose the purchase to my accountant ;)

Burled Redwood top, Spalted Alder body wood, Bubinga tone plate.

I just gigged with it for the first time Friday and it cut through like a knife. A total departure compared to the high-end jazz tone, but just as sweet.

Build by TB's very own: Wilser Ramirez. My Ramirez model A5 bass. Bubinga top, neck through Birdseye maple, Ramirez HB p/ups, ash wings. You can see better pics on my Myspace, if you're my friend...

Well, I don't think I can vote for any... too many beautiful basses.

Very nice photography too which I think colors the opinion a bit... I mean, you can take a somewhat mediocre bass and make it look phenomenal depending on your photography skills!! :)

Also, does anyone else feel this is "wrong"? It's like showing off pictures of your neighbor's wife and declaring your lust for her!!!!!! :D

not my pic. I forgot who it belongs to, but I remember saving it off of TB and its the only bass on here that Ive done that for. Truely awesome IMO

And THAT is why I want to get my 'natural 72P maple neck refinished in black. I've always felt its a black P living in a natural body. I bet Roger Waters would even drool a bit over this one here.

:D Of all the basses I've had, I never expected to find this one in this thread :p! Don't get me wrong, it was a sexy looking beast, but it didn't attract as many comments as some of my other basses, when I posted pics of it.

I'm flattered that you liked it though and rather ashamed to say that I sold (along with every other bass in these pictures, excluding the "JazzRay") two years ago :(.

Here it is again, surrounded by a few of it's brothers and sisters :smug: ...
