Stunning bass! What's the finish on the neck like? The only thing holding me back from buying one is the gloss finish.

A Bass of Doom without the splinters, if ya don't mind. I landed one of these a while ago. '62 from head to toe. I'm no expert but it seems the only glaring differences are the paint and the lack of screw holes. And the damage.

Agreed that japanese fenders can be absolutely stunning, some of the best looking basses around! This would have to be my favourite japanese aerodyne bass, want one so bad but I'm scared of shipping

i wish fender would do more japanese basses.

they always have that slightly off the wall yet strangely classic look to them that the MIA/MIM ones don't.

Squier James Johnston Jazz Bass is my vote. It looks vintage enough for my liking without having any of the playability problems of an actual vintage bass. Btw I don't actually own one, just played a few of them.

This is a joke...right? Whatever. I've never seen a bad looking Jazz, but having block inlays put it near the bottom of the list for me.
