I prefer the finish on my L2000 for serious ass-kickingness:

can't believe a guy who in the profile states alex webster as an influence CAN say that metal bass is boring

alex webster as a player is great, but in the actual albums one can barely discern his playing.
also, his influence on me is more in tone and technique than what he actually plays.
mind you his lines are still less boring than the vast majority.
