Hey Jontom... is that a mighty mite neck you are playing on that bass??? Your bass nut looks either non existent or real real low. I have a mighty mite "P" neck and wonder if i should lower the grooves in my nut as well to compensate for the medium jumbo frets. i have had problems with high action on my bass. Later Jontom..

Yes that is a mighty mite neck(sorry for the confusion),and yes you should lower the grooves. I like to get mine down to the pre-buzz point.

Thanks JonTom. I had set my grooves like a "jumbo" fretted bass and it still played like crap. My bass is a maple "P" body with MIghty Mite maple neck and a re-wound fender pickup wound very bassy to compensate for my maple body and neck combination. These basses are pretty heavy but built pretty well. I just wish they had "higher" frets and not "medium jumbo". Hey has someone started a Mighty mite megathread. Someone should. Maybe i will.

The only problem is you can't get a warm jazzy tone out of this bass... but to me it's perfect I play rage against the machine covers

i own and play the same Eko bass.

it's a chinese copy of the stingray with fender style headstock, passive.
