Best Modeling Approximation to Mesa D-800+ from POD Go

I have a rather specific situation that I hope someone has experience with.

For gigs, I use a Mesa D-800+ through a Subway 1x15 and/or a 1x12.

For home practice, I don't like to use the D-800+, even with the headphone out, etc., due to my living situation and noise/good neighbour relations. I like to run a music source (such as Spotify) through a Line 6 Pod GO, and through headphones. It works great for practice and learning stuff.

For those who are familiar with the specific Line 6 modeling offerings, which amps and cabs come closest to the D-800+ sound? Some of the options that I do like the sounds from the Pod GO are the B-15, SVT, SVT4-PRO, Mesa M9 Carbine, and Mesa Bass 400+ options, with or without the Ampeg 4x12, 8x10, 1x15 cabs.

I can't seem to dial in the right option to get close to the D-800+. Any insights or suggestions? Some of these amp options may be the same with the HX Stomp, if anyone has experience with that as well.

Something's missing. Are you implying that the cabs still makes sound If you're using the headphone out on the Subway? That makes sense I guess, but if there's not separate volumes for the headphone out and the speaker out, then you could just unplug the speaker cab - then it's only possible for sound to come from the headphones, just like the Line6. The aux in on the Subway should also work to pipe an external music source through your headphones simultaneously, just make sure you have the right conversion cable and that it's TRS. Just make sure your cab is unplugged and you should be good to go.

Short of running the D800+ in silent mode just use the 400+ amp sim and whichever cab it pairs it with automatically on the PodGo. I do that myself often enough. It may be as close as you can come on the unit. Definitely not an exact match but for me it is close enough, especially in a mix.

I’ve used the PodGo like this in rehearsal, I turn the cab sim off and run the Pod into the BAM200 into one of my subway cabs. After a few minutes you forget about it mostly, but we all know it ain’t the same. One thing I have found is that you can’t match the EQ from the real amp to the amp sim. I tried doing that for guitar on my Mesa Lonestar to the sim version in the pod and it comes kind of close but noticeably not the same.

Just play with the EQ to get it close enough to your liking. I found that I have to view them, (real amp and sim), as adjacent to each other but not clones.

If you can simply unplug the cab why wouldn’t you just use the D800+ ? What am I missing? Doesn’t the aux input give you the recorded music source to play along with?

I haven’t done this yet but I thought that was available.
That’s exactly how those features were intended to be used.
