Hi, I'm buying a notebook but I dont know which notebook.
I'm between a Macbook Pro and a Sony Vaio, but, what notebook do you recommend me ? Some people say that Macs are better for recording.

What software do you plan to use?
How many channels?
How many effects?
Why a Notebook?

You can just get a pocket recorder like a Zoom H2N, it will work now, and later you can interface it to your computer.

Zoom H2n is the official pocket recorder of paranormal sounds on Ghost Hunters.
:)

Can I plug my bass into that ? does the recorder has a good sound ?

Yes - you need an adapter for the line in to go direct. Or mic your amp with the built in mics.

It sounds as very good.
The built in mics are high quality.
Check out all the memory card recorders.
Even iPod, iPad, although you'll need to add mics to these.

Seamonkey is correct ....there are several questions you need to ask yourself when entering the pc recording world!

the 3 main ones?

what software?

how many tracks do i want to be able to record simultaneosly - audio interface needs to match your expectation.

computer much be compatible with chosen audio interface - ie ...if your 'puter doesn't have a firewire port you don't want a firewire interface ...can't go wrong with usb!
