I'm back in the market. Used the EBS back in the day. Not looking for a multi-function pedal, just a single small 9 volt phaser. Suggestions appreciated!

Red Witch Moon Phaser is known by modern science to be baller, studies show.
This is the phaser tone I've chased for 40 years!
If you want properly small, the MXR Phase 95 and/or Deep Phase are for sure worth a look. But, like, there's a million great ones. Walrus Audio Lillian is another!
The Mask Audio Electronics Neck Brace is crazy good for the price and easy to use.
Smoked a bunch of other much more expensive and fancier phasers in a head to head I did.

Source Audio Lunar. Sure it's digital, but sounds totally analogue. You can use it as the last word in phasor-ing or you can use any of the 6 internal patches for any of the Source Audio modulation patches common to the flanger or chorus variants (Mercury and Gemini).
For me, my Lunar is my primary modulation pedal. Its small, 9v, has stereo options and is shockingly versatile.

I know you said not a multi function but I love this thing. Just enough options to have fun but not so many you need a computer. And it’s just as small as mxr pedals
I use a Whirlwind 90 on the rare occasion when I need a phaser. It just works.
Guitarist in my band wrote the program for this. It's wonderful with bass. Makes me want to give it another spin, but I just don't phaser much. He'll be pleased to hear you love it.
I've always felt like Brian made the best phase pedals and the triangle + sine is maybe the greatest phase sound ever. To me.
I really like my TC Electronic Blood Moon phaser. And I got it used for $30!
Polaron is great if you want many options (envelope, multiple stages, etc.) For simple, it's hard to beat the Phase 95, both 45 and 90 circuits, and block and script options.
My favorite is the Mr Black Gilamondo. It's chewy and funky. Plus you can park the phase, sounds amazing with a fuzz before it.

I love phasers, have tried most of them and used extensively for recording and with other instruments.
But I have not really found a phaser that would work in a band busy mix/rock band context, they either boom the low frequency or disappear in the mix.

I only use them live in a 3-piece (guitar, bass, drums) during the guitarist's solos, along with a mini POG and a chorus, to fill out the sound during the guitar solo. I'm back in a 3-piece now for the first time in a while, so I posted this as I haven't used a phaser in quite some time. Thanks to all for all the info!
