I was using an Aguilar Grape Phaser which was just fine. Then I bought an Earth Quaker Devices Grand Orbiter which blew the Grape Phaser off the board.

best phaser pedal these days?

I am using the Grand Orbiter. My script Phase 90 was cool but had a slight volume drop. I tried the Lillian and did not like the sweep pattern. Grand Orbiter is great, the resonance control gives it some teeth on its own.

So............ You dig the Neck Brace? Looks super cool and I know there are some more coming. I just recently picked up another Anadime Bass Chorus and I know it's great, I'm just not sure I'm really a Chorus guy. haha

Neck Brace took the win for a simple and easy to dial in phaser.
Drolo Moon Rabbit was the winner for me on a more complicated and tweakable phaser.
The production version of Neck Brace is a little better even than the prototype I used for that, with several small tweaks and improvements.
I was shocked by how good Alec's first modulation pedal ended up being, I'm a big fan of his dirt pedals, but the Neck Brace took me by complete surprise. After testing the Proto, it jumped right to the top of my must buy list before I mailed it off to the next tester.
It's simple, but surprisingly flexible, easy to dial in a bunch of different tones, and just flat out musically inspiring when you kick it on.

Stuck with the Zelzah because of the mix knob, and the other side also does flanger and chorus options and never, ever loses low end. Helped in downsizing effort.
Spaceman Explorer is the best/most versatile analog 6-stage phaser IMO.
Phase 100 is always a solid choice, super simple to use and always sounded great in the mix for me.

If you can find one the HBE psilocybe gets my vote. It's amazing with dirt in front of it.
The last time I counted, I discovered that I have 18 phasers in my collection. Four of them are on my main bass board.
That might seem excessive but they all fill very different roles. Blackout Effectors Sibling, Phase 90 clone, VFE Enterprise and Homebrew Electronics Psilocybe are the ones I use the most with bass.
Each has strengths and weaknesses so I don't know if I could say which one is the "best".
The Psilocybe has been with me the longest and it is pretty flexible so if I could only have one, that would probably be it.

I don’t see any mention of the old TC Electronic Phaser XII here. I never owned that one but it’s on my wish list. Anyone tried that one on bass here?
The Zelzah is so awesome. Mine's on my guitar board and I just love it. Underrated pedal.
My fave is the Keeley Bubbletron. It stays so thick on the bass.

I'm a Phaser nut, honestly! But on my bass board is a barebones MXR Phase 90. Does the trick perfectly.
I really like the 12 stage phaser in my Strymon Mobius.
For a standalone Phaser pedal, the Seymour Duncan Polaron is hard to beat.
A few things that set it apart from many others:
-Envelope function (!)
-Tap tempo
- 2 to 16 stage phasing
-tweak everything, save your settings to the four preset banks.

I had this one and loved it. I ended up selling to fund a Farm Pedals Fly Agaric phaser which is a little more “out there” but I love it.
