Best practice amp?

My Peavey Max126 practice amp very recently broke, and now im looking for a new one. I'm over peavey as this is the second amp from them that breaks with it a relatively short amount of time.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good practice amp?

Keep in mind i don't want to spend a fortune on a little amp.

Please include average price for the amp you suggest. Thank you :]

practice as in practice with others or just so you can hear yourself at home??

i wouldn't buy a new practice amp for home use. i'd find any cheap used cabinet, even a pa monitor, and use my head with that.

Being that the OP mentioned it's the SECOND Peavey that's broke, I'm guessing hockey practice.

Just not too used to seeing "my Peavey" and "broke" in the same thread.

Anyway, to the OP good luck w/ the amp hunt. I haven't bought a "new" amp in over 20 years so not sure what's all out there for practice amps myself. :)

I have a Fender Rumble 60 that I really like. I can plug headphones and portable cd player into it so that I don't bother my neighbors and can learn songs at the same time. More importantly it's loud enough to take to band practice and still sound good enough. It's nice because I don't have to load my rig into my truck, drive it 40 miles, unload it, set it up, play for 4 hours, then take it apart, put it back in the truck, drive 40 miles home, and then unload it at 11 o'clock at night a couple times a week.

Very versatile and IIRC, I paid less than $300 for it. I highly recommend it.
