Best riff in a song

List your choice (just nominate one - lists get too long to read).
Just a riff - not a whole solo, chorus, etc. e.g. - "EVH's solo in Eruption" doesn't count. Not best song, or best solo - just an outrageously great riff.

I'll start the thread with Don Felder's crazy pinch-harmonic riff in the Eagle's "Already Gone" (just after the lyric "Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free").
That's just over the top.

I'll give some love to the drummers.

The fill in Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds is the defining moment in that song.

The drums and bass are in perfect harmony and the vocals are on point too. The oh so 80's keys are also in balance. When the fill comes just before the outro it's just a satisfying moment that you look forward to.

Rush- Middletown Dreams- 1st chorus, right before the lyric "dreams flow across the heartland"
Two notes from the guitar, but it gave me chills the first time I heard it, and it still does.
chorus starts at about 1:01, the riff is on the chord change to the VI from the VII.

Probably not a great contender, but it hit it home for me.


And honorable mention, the riff from Sultans of Swing. Quality material for singing your butt off in the car: "da da daaaaa!!!! duh da boo daaaa!!!! da boo daaa!!!!"
