That's a 'fEARless' 115, correct? Similar yet different from what I'm running.

I ran with a bunch of standard cabs, 410, 115+212, 3x15, etc. and while they could get loud, they never felt like they integrated well in the FOH in different ways. There's a 'smearing' effect that it seems like traditional cabs have when pushed really loudly in the room that I don't get with my current setup.

Full range 3 way cabs. They have a high performance sub crossed over to a mid driver and a tweeter.

They're bass cabs that are designed in a similar way to PA cabs. They have dedicated woofers, and mids (and tweeters with horns if you want), and a crossover that deals out the appropriate frequency range to each speaker/cab. The speakers they use are indeed commonly used in PA gear.

Julian's is a fEARless and mine is a fEARful...a bit bigger and 'wider' in the deep lows.

I had a mesa boogie d180, with the matching 2-15 cab + an ev single 15 - vmr 10, for cross fire (when needed)...
Sometimes we had a small pa mostly for vocals, kik, snare, & a 57 the guitar, I never had that rig over 70%, in most cases less than half volume.
A buddy of mine had an svt with the 8-10 cab, it had a nice sound and all, but on its own I'm not sure if it would do as well as the 2-15 cab... they had a pretty good pa, and he was always in the mix, so I have no real benchmark to go on there.
2-15 is a little more compact than the 8-10. My rig fit in my '78 Ford Fiesta, along with the guitar gear too (rear seat folded down, of course) ...

I'm looking at the ibanez promethean,500 watt set up for €700 ( don't know the strength of the dollar )
But my local music shop has a heap of genz Benz too any thoughts?
