Best Rig You've EVER played through

The rig I am using for most of my gigging is my Ampeg SVT 3 Pro running through an Ampeg 410 classic cab. Through this I play a 5 string Fender PBass.. currently looking for an ampeg svt 4 Pro so I can use both of my classic 410 cabs

Sterling or Geddy Lee to a Boss ODB-3 to a Sansamp BDDI into a (what I believe to be) a mid 80s SVT. That amp plugged into an SVT610HLF.
As well as a Landmark 600 into an SVT810en (from the bypass output on the sansamp) both on the same side of the stage.
We just played sluggish heavy... crowbar meets explosions in the sky style stuff.

(One guitarist using a blueshawk into an Ultra120 into a peavey and jcm 800 cab. And a v-4 into a matching ampeg v-4 4x12 I think he splti his signal with a Boss TU-2. He had a modded MXR overdrive on the ampeg. And just a NS-2 on the Ultra. We were happy with it all)

My best amp ever is the Thunderfunk, played through two Bag End 15's. I have owned many amps, and they each have their place in my heart, including Fender Bassmans (the best one being a 1973 silverface with two 15 cabinet), B-15 Ampeg, Carvin PB500 played through Genz Benz 410 and 18 cabs (loved the gate), Gibson Lab series L-6 and L-2, Plush 300 (and I think that was pounds, not watts!), Traynor, Yorkville (first amp that made me smile), Ampeg SVT 350; but the best by far is this line-up. I sold all the rest, and will have this one when I die!

My old rig:

Aguilar DB680
Aguilar DB728
Sansamp RBI for distortion
Aguilar GS412

So. Freaking. Awesome. :(

IMO, there is no perfect rig for all circumstances. With that said, I've been playing for close to 25 years and I am currently playing a GK 700RB into a GK 410RBH and pretty much love it. I have a lot of love for other set ups though, including all tube stuff by Ampeg, Mesa, Sadowski and Aguilar, hybrid stuff by SWR and GK, and solid state stuff like the GK I am currently playing. There is a lot of stuff to love!

Quite sincerely..

Not meant to Gloat or anything..

An active bass = > passive di box => board => a team of sound engineers.

I've played stadiums multiple times.. botique or holy grail setup will never compare to the sound of talent bending fine tuning your tone.

Makes any SVT, Elliot, Berg cab, Genz or whatever totally irrelevant and obsolete.

Indeed !
if it sounded anything like James Dewar's playing through this system, i can only imagine....

iirc, the above was 21kW monitor/100kW foh

Haha, I remember that rig with one of Nino's basses driving it! It spanked.

As for me it would have to be my Demeter with crest power amp and you name the Genz Benz cabinet. Although I was seduced by an early 80's fodera monarch through a 69 svt/8x10 filling in for a guy years ago.

The Walkabout or Big Block through the pair of 115 cabs is pretty glorious in an old school warm tubey way but the M9 Carbine into the Powerhouse 412 is a revelation! Its so clear, articulate, deep and focused that I hear things differently. I had the cab for awhile and loved it but adding the super crisp and clear Carbine was the secret to tonal nirvana for me.
