Best rock lyric ever?

Not a poll and I know there is no correct answer. Just wondering what lyric you think is the best ever.

I'm specifically saying lyric as opposed to lyrics. Just one line, not a whole verse or chorus.

I went to see Nine Inch Nails last night and I think Trent Reznor came up with the best rock lyric ever. First line to the chorus of Closer: I want to **** you like an animal.

It's nasty, vulgar, offensive, dangerous, and menacing but it's also sexy, fun, and crazy. It's a song that is rough enough for the boys but still sexy enough for the girls to get into as well. A nice balance. And it was a wonderful experience to be in a room with thousands of women screaming that line at the top of their lungs.

Opening line from Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do".

"Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand.

Whose wine? What wine? Where the hell did I dine?"

Clearly, that was a fun night.

Nice one.

I'll follow that up with a similar sentiment, I woke up this morning and got myself a beer. Although your lyric is open to more possibilities

Pretty hard to top OP ...there is something insidiously, ruthlessly brilliant about that succinct statement, the way it taps directly into our reptilian hindbrain

The Doors' lyric mentioned in post #6 has a very strong personal resonance for me, but that mostly has to do with A) the sound/delivery of Morrison's execution, and B) where I was and what I was doing the first time I actually enjoyed "Roadhouse Blues" ...but it's definitely one of my contenders.

This one always struck me as one of the most powerfully clever and compact sentiments in rock'n'roll, from The Rolling Stones' "Rocks Off":

Sunshine bores the daylights out of me

Please allow me to introduce myself...
For the win! well done.

The one's that popped into my head were:

"I'm feeling that I'm sober, Even though I'm drinking, I can't get any lower, Still I feel I'm sinking"

"It's a big enough umbrella but it's always me that ends up getting wet"

"And the radio is in the hands of such a lot of fools/Tryin’ to anaesthetize the way that you feel”

"I wish I was like you, easily amused"

"It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine"
