Best rock lyric ever?

Come in here dear boy have a cigar you're gonna go far
You're gonna fly high, you're never gonna die
You're gonna make it if you try; they're gonna love you.
Always had the deep respect I mean that most sincere.
The band is just fantastic that is really what I think.

Clean this mess up else we'll all end up in jail
The test tubes and the scale, just get 'em all outta here.

At night I walk this stinkin' street past the crazies on my block
And I see the same old faces and I hear that same old talk
And I'm searching for the latest thing, a break in this routine
I'm talkin' some new kicks, ones like you ain't never seen…

Long shot at that jumping sign
Invisible shivers running down my spine
Cut to baby taking off her clothes
Close-up of the sign that says "We never close"
He snatches at you and you match his cigarette
She pulls the eyes out with a face like a magnet
I don't know how much more of this I can take
She's filing her nails while they're dragging the lake

Trapeze, You are the music, We're just the band.

The whole song is great really but the chorus is especially beautiful:

"You are the music, we are the band
We're gonna make it, we both need a hand
'Cause you are the music... we are the band
Together we'll make it, across this land"

And the 2 main verses:

"Makes you feel better
Go right and stomp your feet
Take the hands of your sisters
And the brothers that you meet
We are all one together
Partyin' feeling fine
You can't take the music, it's yours and mine

Get up to the rhythm
Start by clapping your hands
You don't need the words now
It's easy to understand
Get your body movin'
Keep time with the beat
Somewhere in the middle
We're all 'gonna to meet"

Standing on the verge of getting it on - Funkadelic

Ruth Ann and Lynn they wear them cut off britches and those skinny little halters
And they're second cousins to me
Man I don't care I want to get between 'em
With a great big ol' hard on like a old bois d' arc fence post
You could hang a pipe rail gate from
Do some twisted sisters 'til the cows come home
And we'd be havin' us a time - James McMurtry

Man lots of good ones here so far! Two mentions of the new boss/old boss line as of my reading, pretty worthy.

My girlfriend says "[it's] Better to burn out than fade away" - been used in more than one song.

My favorites:
"Spaceship from another star / they ask me where all the people are / what can I tell them?...
... I tell them I'm the only one / there was a war, but I must've won."
- Porcupine Tree, A Smart Kid (not very rockin', this one is deeply melancholy, but the band rocks plenty)

"The illusion is sealed / The band's all wrapped in chains
Wish their vibe was still real / Now it all sounds the same"
- Self, Sophomore Jinx (a derisive missive about the record industry; lots of great lines in this one actually)

it's a whole chorus but the whole thing is just, maaannnn...
"Big bang, took and shook the world / shot down the rising sun
The end was begun; it would hit everyone / when the chain reaction was done
Big shots try to hold it back / and fools try to wish it away
The hopeful depend on a world without end / whatever the hopeless may say"
- Rush, Manhattan Project (self-explanatory. This chorus has actually brought tears to my eyes a couple times.)
