Best rock lyric ever?

Nah, in 1980 when I was a sophomore in highschool, I was obsessed with the White Album ( not like Charlie.)

I'd imagine l could finish any partial lyric from that record.
Then I congratulate you. I loved it when people bragged to me about how they were the world's biggest Beatles fan so I would challenge them with a quiz. Watching people fail the quiz was fun. Paul's middle name, Ringo's middle name, George's middle name, John's middle name, Paul's first wife name, Ringo's first wife name, George's first wife name, John's first wife name, who said I got blisters on my fingers, and the CBC lyrics. Very few of the world's biggest Beatle fans could even get five of those.

Ogden Edsel. I was also a Dr. Demento fan! :D
Barry was a friend of mine. I used to sell him records at the Capitol Records parking lot swap meet in the 70s. Cool dude. I saw him in concert in 2001 in Reno.

My wife, who was no Beatles fangirl, answered six correctly. I’m impressed!
What were her six answers?

When I lived near Pasadena I ran into Barry Hansen from time to time. You’re right, he was very friendly and wore his personna well. He was also deeply knowledgeable about music, beyond his specialty of novelty records. Great guy!
Calling Barry deeply knowledgeable is a gross understatement. One of my big thrills in life happened in Salt Lake City in the 90s. One Sunday night I went to the Westerner to do some country dancing. But the Westerner was dead so I decided to check out Sandy Station about ten miles away. Driving between the two bars I was listening to Barry and he played Ragtime Cowboy Joe. So I am driving from one country bar to another and he plays a western song like that. Except I had sold him a copy of Ragtime Cowboy Joe many years earlier. I remember the sale quite vividly because the copy of RCJ I sold him was a Liberty black label stereo copy. Now by the 90s he was probably playing a CD and not the copy I sold him, but none the less it was a twilight zone moment for me.

Oh man. Memories. The Capital parking lot sale. Or road trips to Santa Maria to the Columbia plant. Good times.

John Hiatt - Tennessee Plates

If they knew what we were up to
They wouldn't have let us in
And now we landed in Memphis like original sin.

Or maybe his Memphis in the Meantime

After we get good and greasy
Baby we can come on home
And put the cow horns back on the Cadillac
And change the message on the Code-a-phone
