a lot of primus songs really get the pit going, my name is mud, To defy the laws of tradition i almost got ****ing crushed, lost my shoe, had to bail or get my foot broke

hatebreed and slipknot got kick ass mosh songs too
but the absolute best is Buch Dich by rammsteing, their shows are ****ing the best. anyone else seen rammstein?

yes, they were amazing. There wasn't a pit, or if there was, it far behind me. I spent the entire night in the second "row" using the people in the front row as a crash barrier!

best pit song? Videos of the pit at Slipknot shows (pre Iowa) looked pretty wild when they played Wait and Bleed.

Depends on the kind of mosh pit.

Greasy metalhead headbangin circle pits = sweet grindcore like Dr.UNK.

Angry hardcore dancing = sweet tough guy hardcore like Mental

Old school mosh pits of just beating the **** out of each other = crust or street punk like my band.

The only moshpits that get violent are the "hardcore/emo" moshpits where people actually aim to hurt people. Punk/circle pits are so friendly most of the time, and metal kids are really friendly in pits too



Oh, and I totally agree with "Walk"

Clutch had to stop playing Binge and Purge because so many people were getting hurt in the mosh pit. I'd say that is a fair indication.
