Best Strap for Weight & Neck Dive??

I own the following straps:
Comfort strap - good shock absorption, good at minimizing neck dive.
Neotech Mega - excellent shock absorption, very good at minimizing neck dive.
I voted for neotech.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but that's the fact. If you want to experiment, get a cheap 3 to 4 in strap with Suede on the back. It will help a little. Hipshot Ultralites will help much more than any strap. And with that much dive, you may need the Hipshots AND the strap. That's why they invented Hipshot Ultralites. Call Hipshot. Nice guys.

It would be a drag to go buy a $150. Moody's strap just to find out it does nothing to help. Any strap with Suede will be good for experimenting.

The Comfort Strapp is great, especially if you move around. Weight isn't an issue for me but I would think that the elasticity helps take out the impact of weight pulling on down on your shoulder. I don't know about straps helping neck dive...

I voted for the Comfort Strapp. Best strap I've used and does prevent slippage, IME/IMO.

Probably, a good choice. There was once a strap called the Mcintosh Double Comfort that had a double strap that went over each shoulder connected to a single strap in the back. I still use mine all the time. It distributes the weight evenly over both shoulders. Very comfortable. I wish someone still made those. Here are pictures of the strap from the original pattens.

Got my Megastrap yesterday. It does not help the neck dive issue at all, but certianly makes the bass alot more comfortable to wear.

Saw a post on another thread suggesting tying a small string above the nut and attaching the strap to that 'old school' style...is this ultimately bad for the neck?

that statement was probably true in the past, but things change, viable solutions are designed & produced, making this statement false & not a fact



edit, when i first contacted Twocan about his problem, it went from, i absolutely love this Kramer, but it " feels like it's going to rip my shoulder off " to " Very comfortable 4 hour gig last night thanks to your strap, Thanks and Happy New Year "

I just started using The Sling Strap, as I didn't want to drill another hole in my

I just started using The Sling Strap

that looks to be an option, but the positioning of the bass while it's worn on the body looks to be severely limiting, & i don't see too many players wearing their basses down around their nutz these days

my solution can be worn from a very high, to an ultra low position, from any angle to horizontal at those positions, it's quite versatile
