Best Strings for Jazz Bass?

Hi-Beams | Fatbeams | Sunbeams - depending on my mood & bass.

90% of my basses have Hi-Beams on em'

roto sound nickels great strings , d'addario nickels and dr high beams sound great too all 3 great choices and you can't get any of these to sound bad, next you have to consider what tears the frets up more d'addario's are very easy on frets the rotosounds the worst and dr's next for ripping the hell out of your frets, but the dr's are too bright for maple necks

I'm also looking for ideal strings for my Jazz bass. It has a maple B&B neck. Favorite genres are indie rock, punkrock and alternative rock. I currently have D'Addario halfrounds on it but I don't quite love them :s I have a thump sound when I play with a pick and definately dont want that :s

I have XL Chromes on my jazz and they sound awesome. Well balanced and a nice thump. With a pic devastating. 45-100 gauge.

Now I am a DR fan! I use DR lo-riders 100-40 exclusively! They are quite expensive, but lasts very long (about 9months now, they are still alive)!!!
