I drive a lot for work, and have most of the Ohio guitar centers saved in my navigation for easy findings when I am out and about, and feel like stopping.

Apparently they are "closing out" a bunch of their used gear, and some demos. A couple of stores in my state are having good blowouts, I would assume this would be chain wide as well. Columbus yesterday had some great deals on used gear. An Alembic Spoiler $1499, another single pickup alembic for under a grand, a zon legacy (wood neck-through) for $699, and some other deals I am sure I missed as well.

Today I stopped into the youngstown store, and all of their ampeg floor demos were on closeout, in order to restock them with the new Vietnamese line, apparently. After I left, the only pro series one left was a 3 pro, priced at $459 NEW.

Columbus I walked out with a Musicman Sterling in great used condition (9/10) with a hardshell for $499.

Youngstown today I left with a new SVT classic for $749.

Wow. Thats unreal for a Sterling. I mean even if you didn't like it, you could make a killing reselling that on ebay. It would probably be better leaving it for someone else that would actually play it, but reselling that would make at least $300 for about an hour of work.

The svt that normally sells street price of $1599 going for $749 NEW was an even better score. Been wanting to try one of these in a live setting for a while now, but have been too cheap to lay out that kind of spread for one. (Trying to save for a house)

I just went down to my local GC. If your local branch still has the USA-made demos they gave each store over a year ago, they will blow them out for the $749! You should have seen the face on the bass section manager's face when I walked in and snaked their demo right out from under his nose. $810.49 and I now own a SVT Classic in great shape for a GC demo! Thanks, Tim!

Have to love the ******** sales GC puts on. I will check toledo first of next week when I am out that day.

I forgot my gigbag last night, and had to stop by a mom and pop store to pick up a couple essentials. Bastriches charged me $29 bucks for a set of schaller straplocks, and 6 bucks for a power cord out of their junk box. I'd much prefer to shop at the mom and pops, but with gouging like that, GC should bury them. I spend a lot of money in GC's, but I am pretty sure they have never cleared a profit on me :)

Oh yeah....the Roscoe LG-3005 I picked up on labor day was had for $799.

Don't forget that at that price, it also includes a 5 year bumper to bumper "no questions asked" Ampeg warranty....which is in my opinion, the best in the business. Contact them with a problem, they send you a new head. Put your old one in the box, slap the shipping tag on it, and you're done.

Can't go wrong at that deal. A heavily gigged tube amp would likely cost you over the $750 in maintanance alone over 5 years.
