I'm trying to find a good 4x10 cab. I've always been an ampeg guy but I've heard so many good things about Avatar I'm considering giving it a try. So I found someone selling a USA made ampeg svt4x10hlf for $400 cash. Then I came across another ad for someone selling the Avatar 4x10 Neo for $350. Would I be happier shelling out the extra $50 for the Ampeg? Ultimately I'd like to run a SVT3Pro through whichever cab I end up with. However, until I have the money I'll probably be running a low end model like the B2R or something like that.

You need to play them both, or you'll never know. Also be aware, the 410hlf is a 4 ohm cab, where the Avatar is likely to be 8 ohms. If you'll be using just the one cab, that could make a huge difference right there.
I agree but also make sure that the ampeg is made in USA if not dont buy it, korea is okay but vietnam i hear is bad business. so preferably go with avatar not only that but its neo speakers and dude those things sound fogging great and they are light
